Seven Cover Reviews of the Best Travel Trailer Covers Sold on the Internet and Retail Stores

Usually an outdoor enthusiasts begins to show interest in a travel trailer when they feel that they have outgrown the “sleeping in the outdoors or tent” phase and are ready to enjoy the luxuries of home and yet still have that feeling of living & camping outside by the ocean or lake or in the mountains or desert. Purchasing a travel trailer is an investment that the RV owner hopes will last for many years and numerous excursions. Travel trailers can and will last for many years, sometimes decades. The interior will keep its looks as long as it is protected from sunlight exposure. If an RV is left uncovered the sun’s UV rays will beat down on the camper and fade the interior upholstery, curtains, blinds, carpets, and bedding. The exterior will show its age a great deal faster than the interior. In only a matter of years a travel trailer that is left unprotected from the weather, will exhibit quick and steady exterior damage when the decals fade, crack, spilt and eventually wear off. The plastic window and door seals will turn gray to black in just a year. The welded seams that connect the sides will expand and contract with every snow fall because freezing/melting cycle that occurs when the snow melts on the roof crevices but remain in the crevice, then re-freezes in the tiny, microscopic crevices. These seams will expand inevitably with the freeze cycle that causes a widening of the connecting seams. This constant cycle of water freezing, melting and re-freezing will eventually cause problems with the roof which results in very costly repairs.

The easiest way to prevent the aging process on your travel trailer is to cover it with the best RV cover for the area in which the travel trailer will be stored and for the time in which you will be storing your camping trailer. With so many RV covers on the market how are you going to be able to find the cover that you need?

For the most part, all of the deluxe RV storage covers discussed in this article are sold on the Internet (as well as Walmart, Sears, and Cabelas) and are basically made of the same material (polypropylene) with few differences. Advertised as deluxe winter snow covers these travel trailer RV covers, (Expedition, ADCO, PolyPro 3, Camco and CoverKing) are generally made of triple-layered breathable non-woven polypropylene. The roof/top of the cover is made to accommodate the AC on the roof and is usually large enough to extend over the sides to protect the awning. At the joining seams where the roofing top meets the single layer of polypropylene sides there are vent flaps that allow the cover “to breathe”. These vents prevent wind friction and moisture buildup that would cause mold and mildew to develop. The sides have several long zippered entry panels that will allow you access to your travel trailer during the storage period. The entire cover is usually secured with an integrated tie-down strap system with adjustable click-close buckles and tension panel flaps in the front and back of the travel trailer that reduce cover stress when tightening or loosening the straps on the cover. This gives the RV cover a semi-custom fit. The major differences between all of these winter snow covers comes in the price and the length of the warranty of the product.

Winter Covers for Travel Trailers 20-33 ft Cost & Warranty

Expedition by Eevelle Cost: $205 – $321 Warranty: 3 years

ADCO Designer made with Tyvek Cost: $262 – $365 Warranty: 2 years

Poly Pro 3 by Classic Accessories Cost: $273 – $341 Warranty: 3 years

Camco Ultraguard Cost: $262 – $415 Warranty: 2 years

CoverKing 600 Denier Presidium Cost: $375 – $575 Warranty: Repair for 1yr

When a travel trailer is stored through the summer in the extreme Southeast and Southwest, the cover must be made from an extremely rugged durable woven material. Travel trailers that are in the sun year-round must have a cover with ultimate UV protection. Winter snow covers (like the Expedition, PolyPro 3, Camco Ultraguard, CoverKing Presidium & the Tyvek ADCO cover) disintegrate within a few short months if they are used to protect the RV through the summer. The non-woven fabric cannot stand up to the intense UV rays in this area of the United States. There are two RV covers made of woven material. The first cover that is made with the newest technology in UV block protection is called the PermaPro RV cover made by Classic Accessories. This RV cover is backed by the newest technology in extra strength UV block protection. The PermaPro cover is made of a light weight extra strength ripstop fabric that is tear resistant with nylon reinforcements in the material. The fabric resembles that used in parachutes and athletic wear. This water-repellent fabric repels rain and snow to make it an all season protective RV cover. This travel trailer cover ranges in cost from $375 – $505 and is backed by a four-year warranty.

The Goldline RV cover sold by Eevelle has long been recognized as the best RV cover by customers and dealers alike. The Goldline RV covers are designed to outperform every other RV cover in all the critical categories of RV protection- strength, durability, water repellency, etc. The extra strength yet supple Goldline Tru-weave woven fabric can handle the strongest winds and can stand up to the extreme UV rays of the sun as well as being a water-repellent rain & snow semi-custom storage cover. This travel trailer cover ranges in cost from $455 – $578 and is backed by a five-year warranty. The Goldline is also the only RV cover made for small travel trailers (10 – 20 ft.) as well as the extremely large ones (up to 46 ft. long).

PermaPro and Goldline are the only extra strength travel trailer covers that can be used as summer storage covers. Their woven design stands up to the winds that accompany winter and foretell the change of seasons. Both of these covers are truly all season RV covers that will protect the investment you made into your travel trailer as well as all the upcoming vacations & excursions you will take well into the next several years.

Protect Your Photography Investment – Consider an Unplugged Wedding

In this tech-savvy world, sharing the minute details of everyday lives through social media has become the norm. The modern generation is obsessed with their phone cameras, mostly selfies that they love to share with everyone. It’s obvious that people are going to use their smartphones and cameras to take photos at a wedding too. However, the use of personal mobiles and cameras at weddings can be a distraction, taking the guests away from the moment and detracting from the importance of the day. Occasionally although not often a self-styled photographer will go so far as to take away from the skills of the professional wedding photographer by literally standing in front of them and hijacking the shot. Being present in the moment is becoming a lost pleasure. This seems to have been the catalyst for many couples in opting for an unplugged wedding.

What is an Unplugged Wedding?

A wedding where the bride and groom request the guests to switch off their electronic devices such as smartphones, cameras, camcorders, tablets, etc. and be fully present in the moment. A professional wedding photographer then has carte blanche of the ceremonial photos.

A few benefits of having an unplugged wedding are listed here.

• A wedding is a once in a lifetime event and any kind of distraction can detract form the importance of it. An unplugged wedding will have fewer distractions and the guests will be fully present in the moment and not busy taking pictures, chatting, or replying to social media posts.

• It will be difficult to control the distribution of your wedding photos when you have your guests taking photos of this personal moment and sharing it on social media. You do not always want the photos of your wedding posted on Facebook 2 minutes after the I do’s.

• Guests trying to take photos of the special moments such as the exchange of rings, vows and first kiss may end up spoiling the photo taken by the photographer. Although this doesn’t happen often, they can detrimentally affect the background and occasionally obliterate a photo with an ill-timed flash.

• Another point of note is the distracting sounds that multiple cameras can make, again this isn’t often a big problem but with that hard of hearing uncle with his phone volume turned up to CLAXON mode the Bizet of has the potential of overtaking the moment.

You can inform the guests about the unplugged wedding in advance by adding a polite note with your wedding invitation or with an announcement before the wedding ceremony. This way you are inviting them to be there with you on the most important day of your life and still making sure that you protect your photography investment.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

You have just finish setting up your squeeze page in the previous lesson, did you? Hopefully, you did just that. If not, please go back and figure that out because, on a serious note, this business begins from there!

The next question that you may ask is, what am I going to sell to those names and emails on my list? You have just sent them the gift they signed for, yes, but that is no business. Your work is to sell some digital products to them and make profits.

It is only when you can do this successfully and, and do that repeatedly, that you can call yourself a successful Internet Marketer, and that you will also be able to sustain your new business…

Now, relax, there is no cause for alarm.

My job here is to advice you on what to do next,

next, and

next, from the scratch to the

cash!

Let’s go…

Think for a while, you will remember, I talked about choosing your niche market and market research for marketable keywords in the previous courses – hope you can recall all of that (chapters 1, 2 and 3). One of the main tool that will make your business highly profitable is your KEYWORDS.

You will need them not only for the niche selection, market research, but also for selecting the products that you intends to sell profitably.

2.0 OBJECTIVES

- To describe the job of an Affiliate Marketer

- To state some rules of Affiliate Marketing

- To narrate how to get Affiliate Products for promotion as an Affiliate Marketer.

3.0 MAIN CONTENTS

3.1 Affiliate Product Reservoirs (Companies)

There are two ways to acquire the products that you intends to sell online, number one, is to get them from fellow marketers ( Merchants) while the second option, is to create the product by yourself. Both ways have their peculiar advantages as well as disadvantages.

Remember that our main focus now is on digital products. I will find time in a later chapter to talk briefly on how to sell Physical Products on the Internet.

One of the easiest ways to get Affiliate Products to start your Online Business is by approaching any of the Affiliate marketing programs and networks of your choice. Popular among them are ClickBank, Paydotcom, ShareASale, and Commission Junction.

ClickBank seems to be the indisputable flag bearer in this industry, so I will be referring to this company more often. You can also browse for AFFILIATE NETWORKS to see others.

3.2 Clarification of Terms

When reading about Affiliate marketing, you will notice four terms that are used regularly. They are: Affiliates Networks, Affiliate Programs, Affiliate Merchants and Affiliates. These terms need some clarification to avoid confusion.

Affiliate Networks are conglomerations of Affiliate Programs e.g. Peerfly. They do the same work as Affiliate Programs, but with more options in terms of more products and more leverages as many Affiliate Programs come together to create bigger business opportunity and greater coverage.

Affiliate Programs are consortiums of Affiliate Merchants e.g. ClickBank. They specialize in marketing, providing payment processor and customer service, etc.

Affiliate Merchants are individual product owners – of course in the global (even national) business arena, the rules have it that individuals should conduct their businesses using a Business Name or better still, their Private Companies.

Affiliate Merchants, main focus is product creation for the market. They do market research to know where gap or need exists, and create product to fill up the gap, to fulfill that need.

Affiliates are the Marketers who signup with Affiliate Programs or Affiliate Networks to market products owned by Affiliate Merchants. They specialize in Online Marketing of Digital and other products.

Those brief explanations are sufficient for now, to avoid information overload. You will get to understand more as you get involved in this business.

3.3.0 The rules have changed

Before now and even now you still see people promoting 3-5 or even more products on their blog to their own chagrin, but, the rules have changed.

3.3.1 Know your audience: Now you must know with almost laser precision the kind of audience that you are marketing to. This makes it easy to go to ClickBank and search for the products that will serve them well. This is very important because failure to sell the right product to the right audience will impact negatively on your business.

3.3.2 Use the Product by Yourself: Endeavour to get and use a product first before recommending it to others. This will help you to understand what other users are going through. It will also help you to write a very insightful review on it on your blog.

3.3.3 Promote relevant products: If you are in the Employment and Jobs niches and suddenly start promoting Passion and Dancing training to your list, you don’t need a prophet to tell you why you are not making sales – simply, the two niches are at two opposites and uncomplimentary ends.

3.3.4 Promote Only 1-2 Products Per Webpage: Do not promote too many products on your website – as mentioned above, the rules have changed. The internet is gradually getting saturated with skillful marketers, and selling 1 or 2 two complementary products on your site is what is yielding profits these days than attempting to sell more.

Please do not be confused by the above statement – you can select 5 – 10 products to promote in your niche, but place them one per page, then, may be, link it to 1 OTO, when you are promoting them.

3.3.5 Can You Spy Your Audience? To grow in this business, make sure you have a way spy out on your audience. There are many ways to do so. One of such ways is to provide for comments, feedback or suggestions on your blog.

You can also use Facebook or Qualaroo. There are other more sophisticated software that can do this job for you, but for a beginner, these simple tools will still yield result.

3.3.6 Or Watch Your Competition? The best way to delay the progress of your online business is to try to reinvent the wheels. Things does not always work that way online.

The fact is that what makes online business look like an all-comers-affairs is that it is a copy-catting business arena!

Does that surprise you? If it does, next time you are on YouTube, please listen with wisdom to one of the epoch inventor of our time ‘Steve Jobs: Good artist copy great artists steal Christoph Dernach’.

So just go ahead and watch what others are doing in the marketplace, then apply wisdom while copying them with skillful modifications that will make your new product as indisputably original as possible!

Period.

Now let us go back to ClickBank.

3.4 How to Get ClickBank Product to Promote

Visit ClickBank and

a) Go To Marketplace and browse the categories

b) Find good products that match your audience and your niche.

c) Check the gravity: 10+ recommended for newbies, forget about the popularity.

d) Click on PROMOTE, fill in your user name, get a link and start promoting them on your site using the methods that I will discuss later in the next few chapters that follow.

e) Traffic, traffic, traffic… we will talk in details about traffic in this course as traffic is the mainstay, the essence of your online business.

f) Rinse and Repeat at ClickBank and other companies.

3.5 Other Options for US non-residents

On a side note, non-residents in US, Britain, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, may experience some sort of blockade against their country in their attempt to do affiliate marketing business.

But websites like ShareASale, AzooogleAds, Jumia, Click2Sell, Vconnect, etc. may be very useful alternatives. You can check on them.

Signing up to market the products of any of these company has almost a similar process like that of the ClickBank. Besides, all these sites have step by step instructions on how to sign up and start selling their products as affiliate marketer.

After signing up to get their links, you just go ahead to market these products using the various traffic methods that will be taught in some of the subsequent courses later.

4.0 CONCLUSION

In general, stick to selling only digital products when you are just starting out. It is easier to break-even in digital product affiliate marketing than physical products for so many reasons.

These reasons include higher commissions, instant delivery and instant gratification of the client, no waiting by customers for days before getting what he bought – this minimizes refund rates among others.

5.0 SUMMARY

The terms common in Affiliate Marketing business was stated and clarified. The step in finding products for sale in at least one Affiliate program, was explained.

I also attempted to state, in general terms, the rules that should be the guide of every Affiliate Marketer.

6.0 ASSIGNMENT

Go to ClickBank, sign up if you have not done so by now, and browse the marketplace for some of their products in your niche using the categories and your longtail profitable keywords you discovered during your market research, as your guide.

Keep them aside in your hard drive. You will soon need them in chapters 13, 14 and 15 for business.

Organize Your Anniversary Party With A Checklist

Whether it is your 1st, or 10th wedding anniversary, it is worth celebrating, and what better way to plan a celebration than with an anniversary party checklist?

The most successful anniversary parties start with an idea – how the event will begin, continue and end. Having a finite and concrete party checklist to plan in helps you to keep your wedding anniversary party right on track.

1. The best thing to do when creating any party is to develop a theme. By creating a theme you can set the mood, location, food ideas and attire as well as invitations. A theme doesn’t need to be fancy; it just needs to be something both you and your spouse / friends are interested in. Some ideas of themes that can be very fun are:

Decade parties – Fabulous 50′s, Swingin’ 60′s, Disco 70′s.

Famous Movie Themes – pick a movie you love and create your theme around it.

High school / Sock Hop

Pool Party

Pig Roast

Western Theme.

2. At this stage you have probably found your theme. Now it is time to create a guest list for your event. ‘Theming’ your invitations allows you to start the party them off right. Start your invites about three weeks before the event. Ask your guests to be creative and come with the appropriate attire if possible, and encourage them to be creative and have fun. Focus on people you correspond with often, and known people who are fun ‘party people’ (we all know who they are!) I find homemade (DIY) invitations are always more fun than store bought ones; however both do the trick

3. Create your menu. Search for serving dishes which correspond to your anniversary party theme. Finger foods are always a hit as they are light, easy to prepare and are a quick clean-up. If you wish for a larger event, organize your food preparation help, or even contact a caterer. Create your grocery list about three weeks before the event.

4. Party decorations are important. They help establish the mood and ambience. Again, we go back to the party theme for ideas here. Lighting is also very important. Search for lighting ideas that correspond to the theme i.e. 70′s themed parties should have at least one disco ball to be sure!

5. Games, games and fun stuff! Always plan for creative anniversary party games. Spin the bottle, famous dances and Twister are always a blast. If games are not your thing, consider live entertainment -A D.J., live band, comedian all have worked very well in the past.

6. Beverages are an important part of the party. Decide (based on your personal preferences and location) whether there will be an open bar, BYOB, or virgin refreshments. Inform guests in their invites as to whether to plan to drive or take a cab. Cab services that drive your vehicle home for you (with you in it of course!) are a great alternative and allow you to make ‘on the spot’ decisions regarding transportation.

6. Most of all, sit back and have fun. Not everything will always go your way, but if you have followed your anniversary party checklist, your event should be very rewarding.

Three to four weeks before event:

Choose your theme

Prepare Grocery List

coordinate cleaning / after-party helpers

Select Caterer (if applicable)

Collect food preparation items, serving plates and utensils

Develop your guest list

Create or purchase your party invitations

Plan and purchase or create your decorations.

A couple of days before the event:

Contact any follow-ups for guests.

Begin preparing any food that needs to be done.

Run over your checklist again to ensure everything is in place

Set out your costume or attire

The morning of the party

Relax

Begin preparing food

Run over your checklist one last time

Sit back, have fun and enjoy your creation~!

Wide Area Network (WAN)

Types and Characteristics of WANs

What is a WAN?

There are two prevailing definitions of a Wide Area Network (WAN). The book definition of a WAN is a network that spans large geographical locations, usually to interconnect multiple Local Area Networks (LANs). The practical definition of a WAN is a network that traverses a public network or commercial carrier, using one of several WAN technologies

What are its Main Components?

The main components for a WAN are routers, switches and modems. These components are described below in the hardware section.

CPE – Devices on the subscriber premises are called customer premises equipment (CPE).

The subscriber owns the CPE or leases the CPE from the service provider. A copper or fiber cable connects the CPE to the service provider’s nearest exchange or central office. This cabling is often called the local loop, or “last-mile”.

DTE/DCE – Devices that put data on the local loop are called data circuit-terminating equipment, or data communications equipment (DCE). The customer devices that pass the data to the DCE are called data terminal equipment (DTE). The DCE primarily provides an interface for the DTE into the communication link on the WAN cloud.

Hardware

In a WAN you will need various types of hardware components for it to function. The typical items of hardware that you will need in a WAN are:

Router – An electronic device that connects a local area network (LAN) to a wide area network (WAN) and handles the task of routing messages between the two networks. Operates at layer 3, and makes decisions using IP addresses.

Switch – A switch is a network device that selects a path or circuit for sending a unit of data to its next destination. Operates at layer 2, and uses MAC addresses to send data to correct destination.

Modem – Short for modulator/demodulator, a modem enables a computer to communicate with other computers over telephone lines. Operates at layer 1, where signals are converted from digital to analogue and vice versa for transmission and receiving.

Wan Standards

WANs operate within the OSI model using layer 1 and layer 2 levels. The data link layer and the physical layer. The physical layer protocols describe how to provide electrical, mechanical and functional connections to the services provided by the ISP. The data link layer defines how data is encapsulated for transmission to remote sites.

Encapsulation

Encapsulation is the wrapping of data in a particular protocol header. Remember that WANs operate at the physical layer and the data link layer of the osi model and that higher layer protocols such as IP are encapsulated when sent across the WAN link. Serial interfaces support a wide range of WAN encapsulation types, which must be manually specified. These types include SDLC, PPP, Frame delay etc. Regardless of WAN encapsulation used it must be identical on both sides of the point to point link.

Packet and Circuit Switching

Circuit switching and packet switching are both used in high-capacity networks.

The majority of switched networks today get data across the network

through packet switching.

Circuit-switching is more reliable than packet-switching. Circuit switching is old and expensive, packet switching is more modern.

General Routing Issues

What is a Routing Protocol?

A routing protocol is a protocol that specifies how routers communicate and exchange information on a network. Each router has prior knowledge of its immediate neighbours and knows the structure of the network topology. The routers know this because the routing protocol shares this information.

Protocol

RIP (Routing Information Protocol) was one of the most commonly uses protocols on internal networks. Routers use RIP to dynamically adapt changes to the network connections and communicate information about which networks routers can reach and the distance between them. RIP is sometimes said to stand for Rest in Pieces in reference to the reputation that RIP has for breaking unexpectedly and rendering a network unable to function.

Routing Algorithms

Distance Vector

This type of routing protocol requires that each router simply inform its neighbours of its routing table. The distance vector protocol is also known as the bellman-ford algorithm.

Link State

This type of routing protocol requires that each router maintain a partial map of the network. The link state algorithm is also know as Dijkstra’s algorithm.

IGRP

IGRP is a type of distance vector routing protocol invented by cisco used to exchange routing data in a autonomous system. Distance vector protocols measure distances and compare routes. Routers that use distance vector must send all or a portion of their routing table in a routing update message at regular intervals to each neighbour router.

Addressing and Routing

What does routing mean?

Routing is the process of deciding how to move packets from one network to another.

The directions also known as routes can be learned by a router using a routing protocol then the information is passed from router to router along the route of the destination.

IP Address’s

Every machine connected to the internet is assigned an IP address. An example of an IP address would be 192.168.0.1. IP addresses are displayed in decimal format to make it easier for humans to understand but computers communicate in binary form. The four numbers that separate an IP address are called Octets. Each position consists of eight bits. When added to together you get 32 bit address. The purpose of each octet in an IP address is to create classes of IP addresses that can be assigned within a network. There are three main classes that we deal with Class A, B and C. The octets of an IP address are split into two parts Network and Host. In a class A address the first octet is the network portion, this determines which network the computer belongs to, the last octets of the address are the hosts that belong to the network.

Sub netting

Sub netting allows you to create multiple networks within a class A, B or C address. The subnet address is the address used by your LAN. In a Class C network address you would have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. A subnet mask identifies which portion is network and which is host. For example 192.168.6.15 the first octet three octets are the Network address and the last octet being the host(Workstation). It is important to subnet a network because gateways need to forward packets to other LANS. By giving each NIC on the gateway an IP address and a Subnet mask it allows the gateways to route packets from LAN to LAN. Once the packet arrives at its destination, the gateway then uses the bits of the subnet portion of the IP address to decide which LAN to send the packets.

Circuit Switched Leased Lines

A circuit switched network is one that establishes a dedicated circuit (or channel) between nodes and terminals before the users may communicate. Here are some terminologies associated with a Circuit switched network.

Frame relay is a telecommunication service designed for cost-efficient data transmission between local area networks (LANs)

Basic rate interference is a service used by small business for internet connectivity. An ISDN BRI provides two 64 Kbps digital channels to the user.

Primary rate interface (PRI) is a telecommunications standard for carrying voice and data transmissions between two locations

All data and voice channels are ISDN and operate at 64kbit/s

Packet Switching

http://www.raduniversity.com/networks/2004/PacketSwitching/main.htm – _Toc80455261

Packet switching refers to protocols in which messages are broken up into small packets before they are sent. Each packet is then transmitted over the Internet. At the destination the packets are reassembled into the original message. Packet switching main difference from Circuit Switching is that that the communication lines are not dedicated to passing messages from the source to the destination. In Packet Switching, different messages can use the same network resources within the same time period.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asynchronous_Transfer_Mode

Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is a cell relay, packet switching network and protocolwhich encodes data into small fixed-sized cells.

ISDN is used to carry voice, data, video and images across a telephone network. ISDN stands for integrated services Digital Network. Isdn also provides users with a 128kbps bandwidth. This is done through frame relay. Frame relay complements and provides a service between ISDN, which offers bandwidth at 128 Kbps and Asynchronous Transfer Mode which operates in somewhat similar fashion to frame relay but at speeds from 155.520 Mbps or 622.080 Mbps. Frame relay is based on the older X.25 packet switching technology and is used to transmit analogue signals such as telephone conversations.

PSDN stands for packet switched data network and is a data communication network. Packet switched networks do not establish a physical communication signal like the public telephone does (circuit switched network) Packets are sent on a fixed length basis and assigned with a source and a destination address. The packets then rely on the routers to read the address and route the packets through the network.

Mobile and Broadband Services

Digital Subscriber line(DSL) is mainly used to bring high bandwidth connections to homes and small business’s over a copper wire telephone line. This is can only be achieved if you stay within the range of the telephone exchange. DSL offers download rates of up to 6mbps allowing continuous transmission of video, audio and 3D effects. DSL is set to replace ISDN and compete with the cable modem in providing multimedia to homes. DSL works by connecting your telephone line to the telephone office over copper wires that are twisted together.

Asymmetric Digital Subscribers Line is most commonly used for home users. It provides a high download speed but a lower upload speed. Using ADSL, up to 6.1 megabits per second of data can be sent downstream and up to 640 Kbps upstream.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symmetric_Digital_Subscriber_Line

Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line is a digital subcriber line which runs over one pair of copper wires. The main difference between ADSL and SDSL is the difference in upload and download speeds. SDSL allows the same upstream data rate and downstream data rate as ADSL upstream can be very slow.

HDSL High bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line, one of the earliest forms of DSL, is used for wideband digital transmission within a corporate site and between the telephone company and a customer. The main characteristic of HDSL is that provides equal bandwidth in both directions.

IDSL is a system in which data is transmitted at 128 Kbps on a regular copper telephone line from a user to a destination using digital transmission.

The Local Loop enables operators to connect directly to the consumer via copper local loops and then add their own equipment to offer broadband and other services. This process involves operators accessing local exchange buildings to connect to a network of copper lines which connect them to homes and businesses. BT is an Example of a Local Exchange. The local loop connecting the telephone exchange to most subscribers is capable of carrying frequencies well beyond the 3.4 kHz upper limit.

Benefits of using DSL

DSL can provide virtually instantaneous transmission of voice, data and video over ordinary copper phone lines. A DSL connection can eliminate delays when waiting to download information and graphics from the Internet. It provides users with a cost effective high speed Internet connection. Another benefit is that a DSL connection is always on-line (like a LAN connection) with no waiting time for dialling or connecting.

New Parents Look To Loans To Help Reduce Financial Pressures

Starting a family may see the financial burden consumers are under rising dramatically, it has been suggested.

The news comes as research released by MoneyExpert reveals that those parents who have children under the age of 18 are typically some 1,140 pounds in debt in the 12 months following the birth of their first child. According to the financial comparison website, more than a third (39 per cent) of couples see their income fall after the birth of their first child as at least one partner either works less hours, or gives up their job altogether, in the subsequent months after a birth.

And with over 40 per cent of new parents going into the red in the first year of having a child, such consumers could well struggle to meet demands for payments on areas of their finances such as utility bills, credit cards and home loans. Meanwhile, money management difficulties could be even more pronounced for the seven per cent of parents who are more than 2,500 pounds in debt, with two per cent owing over 7,000 pounds.

Research from the company also showed that three-quarters of those suffering from a loss in earnings as they have a child are looking to make up for such a shortfall. Some 28 per cent of these consumers turn to their family for finanical aid, while ten per cent are set to take out a loan to help relieve the pressure on their finances. Meanwhile, 22 per cent are to use credit cards as a means of supplementing their spending.

Sean Gardner, chief executive of MoneyExpert, said: “For most of us worries about money go out of the window with the joy of having a baby. It’s hard enough coping with the sleepless nights and new responsibilities without thinking about budgets. But financially a new baby can cause havoc because of the combined burden of extra costs and reduced income. If money is already tight, it’s no wonder that so many families have had to turn to borrowing to make ends meet.”

He added that as households are set to face increased costs, taking out a loan or another form of credit is often “a sensible way to tide you over”. As a result, Mr Gardner urged those considering borrowing money to take the time to choose the right product for them.

Meanwhile, the financial services firm’s debt index reveals that more than 2.48 million Britons are “very concerned” about their capacity to manage their finances as the series of interest rate increases by the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee starts to make its impact felt.

Accordingly, opting for a low-rate loan may be an advisable idea for those concerned that pressure on their finances is set to increase after they have a child. Last month, James Ketchell, from the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, reported that Britons are becoming evermore prepared to take out secured loans and apply other forms of credit as they get older due to becoming “used to the idea” of borrowing while at university. Mr Ketchell also reported that the majority of those applying for a loan use the money for “vital things”.

Free Annual Credit Report – A Groundbreaking Service!

One of the few pieces of legislation which went through like hot knife through butter was the one in 2003, which freed customers and users of credit cards and other credit instruments from a closed door assessment of their credit rating risk. By this legislation, called FACT Act, every person who is a credit user has the right to have a free credit report annually. The upshot of this landmark legislation was that the consumer now has a right to check its veracity and ask for additional information or ask for corrections to the report.

The Act introduced a certain amount of transparency in the how and on what basis the credit rating agencies collected, collated, and arrived at the risks associated to a consumer. Till this time, the consumer was in the dark, with a veil of secrecy shrouding it.

How does this all help you? There can be errors in your credit report. A single different digit or even a space between characters would completely alter it. You might find that you have been billed for what you never even thought about, or, as in many cases, payments made on the due date, were not correctly entered, resulting in a technical default, which adds up over the year, would lead To a misleading impression of always lagging behind in payment! And that's apart from the charges for late payment adding up to your bill.

You may also be unpleasantly surprised that you have been bumped for a few thousands of dollars of purchases made in a place which you never even knew existed..in other words, someone hijacked your identity!

When you find these sort of transactions on your credit report, you have to immediately contact the agency, and enter into a dialogue with them to correct those errors.

Today, you even have software which you can download on your computer which, in addition, to looking up your credit rating, also perform tasks such as monitoring unusual transactions, point to errors in your credit reports, and also warning you if you were to Come near a danger point on your credit rating. Call it an EWS or early warning system for you.

How to get it? Go on to the sites of the main providers of this source of information, namely, Experian, Equifax and Transunion. Their web sites are experian.com, equifax.com, transunion.com. Just add, if you want to, the www. Before them. Today's software just wrists it up automatically.

Logging will require you to confirm your identity, which could include multiple proofs based on what you provided for the credit card, or a unique number which would identify you; Today, additional questions are asked to really confirm that you really are what you are. Sorry, but that's one way of keeping a possible hacker at bay. You can then do anything with it: print, download, or view. It is better to download and also keep a printout.

It is best if you were to take down the your Credit Report from all the three agencies. Some report to one or the other, and therefore what may be in one, may not be in the other. The software mentioned above, can have the facility to log in on its own, provided you enable it, and it would scan it for you, and flag the discrepancies.

You can use freecreditreport.com, annualcreditreport.com, that will give you step by step advise on securing the reports from these agencies.

You must use this facility given to you by law. It is for your protection, safety, and its your money.

Build Family Connection Through This Family Craft Project

When's the last time you sat down as a family and got your fingers sticky together ?!

If your family goes to a regular religious service, you already have a lot of ceremony and ritual built into your life. These practices not only connect your kids to a greater power, they make them feel more connected to you. As you sit in physical portfolio focused on a common uniting experience, your energies and body rhythms line up and match.

Have a Deliberate Plan for Connection

Families without the external structure of coming together have to be more purposeful about creating these experiences that will nourish your children's sense of being woven into a part of the larger whole that is your family.

Of course, playing a game or cooking a meal together as a family are wonderful ways to bond, but some children need something more concrete or visual. That's why I love the idea of putting some time away as a family to do a project that represents the family.

Here's an idea you might try: Family Placemats

Purpose: To create a visual depiction of family memories and values; To have each family member contribute equally; To foster a positive view of both individual members and of the family as a whole.

Procedure:

1. Print out or draw multiple pictures of each family member (pets included!).

2. Create multiple sentence stems and have each family member fill them out:

Ex: What I love about our family is _________________________.

We are the kind of family that __________________________.

My favorite family memory is when ___________________.

Our family is special because we ________________________.

3. Brainstorm other symbols or images that represent your family. Perhaps you will print out pictures or maps of where your family comes from or what you love to do together.

4. Use marks to write the positive qualities of the family members in large print. Are there people in your family who are thoughtful? Funny? Disciplined? Creative? Hard working? Good problem solvers? Write those things down. Do not attach names to them. In this case, we are de-emphasizing the practices of the individual and instead displaying what are the strengths this family team has together.

5. One you have a rich pile of materials, give each family member a placemat size piece of construction paper. Have each person take one item from the pile and glue it onto the placemat. Now hand each table mat clockwise to the next person. Again, each person will choose something from the pile to glue to the placemat. Once done, rotate again. Continue this process until each placem is full and / or the pile of materials has been used up.

6. Once the glue has thoroughly washed, cover the placemats with clear contact paper or take them to your local copy shop and have them laminated.

Benefit:

Not only will this project allow for you to focus on what makes you unique as a family, but it will be an oasis of time when you are creating goodwill amongst you. Even more importantly, by working in the round-robin style, no one person feels ownership over the design of any one placem. Each mat will reflect the developmental stages of your children and will be a mixture of more or less sophisticated efforts depending on their ages and personalities. (No perfection allowed here!) Because you have all had a hand in creating each one, when it comes to using them, family members will be delicated to get whichever one they happen to get.

Think this idea is too corny to do with your older kids? Think again! Make some excuse if you need to. Perhaps one of your children is entering high school-or even moving away to go to college or get a job. Tell your kids you want to mark this passage and have a way to daily remember the best part of being a family, even as kids grow up and outward. Teens may not admit to enjoying such a family project, but they will secretly treasure it and carry with them that warm fuzzy feeling of family love and connection.

One last rule! Ban electronics from the table while doing this project. The point is to come together as a family – not to each be checking Snapchat or Facebook. Your kids might grumble, but in the end they will be glad they have done it.

Happy Gluing!
